Have a yarn — Franzus Social
Franzus Social Apply
G'day

If you've made it
this far, let's
have a yarn.

You probably saw a post or got a DM. Here's the longer story behind what we're building, and why.

Who is this bloke? A fair question

Andrew. Kiwi. Six years in Dallas.

Grew up on a farm outside Cambridge, in the Waikato. Seven years in Brisbane (practically an Aussie). Six years in Dallas now, with my wife.

Spent my career building iconic Kiwi and Aussie brands — The BBQ Factory back home, then Poolwerx across Australia and here in the US.

Franzus Social is the thing I built for myself. And, it turns out, for a lot of you.

You can build a full life in this country and still notice something's off. It's not loneliness — I've got plenty of people. It's that Americans just don't get "yeah, nah." And explaining jokes kills a good yarn.

No, we don't actually see them every day.

I've had a gutsful of big empty corporate networking events where everyone's trying to sell me something. And the bigger gatherings — the ones you mark on the calendar — only happen a couple of times a year. Neither does the job.

What I actually want is great food, a great mix of different restaurants, and people that just get you. Once a month, so it's a real rhythm — not something you wait all year for.

The kind of company that doesn't need a footnote.
So I built a dinner club. As many tables as we need, but never more than 8 at each. Kiwis and Aussies only. A no-dickhead policy.

It's curated like you'd curate a dinner party at your own house — because that's basically what it is. We find the restaurant and the right mix of table mates, book it, and get you looped in. Every month. You just show up and enjoy.

Prawns and a pav. You know the one.

The screening isn't because we're precious about it. It's because the table only works if the mix is right. Five to eight people, big enough for variety, small enough for one real conversation. Anchors and connectors. People who turn up, have fun, don't try to sell you anything.

That's it, really. That's the thing.

Come to the first one on us.

Sign up, come along, see if it lands. We won't charge until after the first dinner. If it's not for you, cancel before then and that's that.
